Why did you first come to IBC?
The first time we came was in 1984. I was a guest of my girlfriend (now my wife of nearly 30 years), who was attending IBC. The second first time I came to serve as an Associate Pastor.
How would you describe yourself?
I love God, Love His People, Love His Word. I am outgoing and passionate to see others Go active in their understanding of God how He wants to move IN and through them.
What do you bring to your role that people would not expect?
Rather than be the guy to do it all, I love building teams that do a far better job than I ever could!
Best advice you ever received?
“I didn’t break it; I can’t fix it.” I am wired to care for others, which can get me in deeper than is healthy for all involved. This quote changed that for me.
What has God being doing lately that has surprised you?
God has showered Sue (my wife) and me with His love through His people in the warmest welcome possible as we have been in transition to life in PA and IBC. We are BLESSED!!!!
What is one book that has most impacted you?
Besides the Bible, of course… Leadership as an Identity, by Crawford W. Lorrits, Jr.
What is your greatest challenge?
What inspires you?
Lives that are humbled before Almighty God and then are offered up in service to Him.
What is something most people don't know about you?
During college (Seattle Pacific University), for two summers I was a driver/tour guide in Alaska.
